Business Thread: The importance of efficient scheduling and optimization of your business
As my main business I panhandle.
Having tried various spots around my area I settled on the metro and transport infrastructure. It yielded the best results by far. Inspired by a GFY thread a while ago I decided to further analyze my business, breaking down my usual routine into certain time slots and sectors. After doing some extensive testing I was able to optimize my schedule and placement to reduce my TOS (time on street) by 50% while increasing my income by 20%. Please share any similar improvements you may have made to your business. |
I started flashing my tits and saw a 10% decrease.....

Get a dog. Guaranteed increase in money. Move to San Francisco, they pay homeless people to have dogs.

Thanks, I'll keep that in mind.

Have you tried split testing acting crazy/desperate/drunk/sincere/homeless/meth head
? Do so, and post results so we can all learn. (Also get any donators to opt in for email newsletters) (Also try twitter...you could update where you will be pan handling, like food trucks. That way regular fans can find you more easily) |
I clean windscreens at traffic lights.
My biggest saving came when the greengrocer stopped allowing me to top up my bucket of filthy water from his shop and I started pissing in it instead. No more time wasted going into the library to use the toilet four times an hour (vodka is a diuretic). |
My business traffic increased by 300% after putting to use the info found in this thread.

I will be reporting back once I have some results. |

Do you notice a difference depending on the type of crossing these lights are on? |

Cut a leg, and you should see an increase of about 79%
If needed, give Luka Rocco Magnotta a call for advice on how to cut your leg |
Edit: Nevermind.

Soon you are going to be a panhandler with an iPad. This business thread is getting some traction. Nice to see GFY going back to its roots.
I hope Paul doesn't ruin this thread talking about how there used to be less panhandlers so everyone is making less now. |
Thanks for your vote of confidence epitome!
I do find it important that while the industry itself is restructuring, people find solutions to diversify their business and improve existing revenue streams. |
