9 Year old girl raises over 20k for charity using simple blogger with over 3 mill hits in a few mont
This 9 year old girl started blogging about her school dinners by taking photos of them and giving them ratings using googles free blogger, Her website has now had over 3 million hits in a few months and she has raised over Twenty Thousand Pounds (Heard it was now 30k on the radio)
The school then banned her from taken pics of the dinners which caused an outrage and they decided to over turn their decision and let her continue. Amazing what a 9 year old girl and a simple blog, unique content and no fancy template can do. You just never know when something so simple will take off :) A massive props to her (and her dad ) :thumbsup Im not going to link the site here but if you go to the BBC news or most news otlets in the UK it can be found there |
I read about that on CNN this morning. Pretty cool story.
The crazy thing is that the schools could make healthy, high quality lunches for the kids at about the same price as they pay for the garbage that they serve now, but there is big money for those who provide the food now and they payoff our leaders to make sure that they keep the contracts. |

£2/day for school dinner seems expensive for what is served up.

Martha's father, David Payne, said the blog was never intended to make the food look unappetizing. She called her blog "NeverSeconds":1orglaugh
