Depends on how great your content is. Good isn't good enough anymore, there are already established sites on that level. So you need to be better to get the sign ups.

It will cost you a lot of money even if you shoot it all yourself. The days of cheap point and shoot are all but gone, unless you know a niche that has some demand still left.

Reality: It depends on your connections in the industry.

Some of my clients have started 100% from scratch 2 or 3 months ago and are making good sales!

excellent material / quality / value, then yes definitely if you can get it in front of the right traffic and / or affiliates, but without any of the above it's gonna be a tough haul.

Micro-niche.......find something related to a niche already existing, build traffic, and then direct traffic to your tour....

Another thing you could do is: Shoot some content and test it on clip stores.....get the feel on what sells.... :thumbsup

Do it and start building your site. Just don't try to live off it for 1-2 years. Don't quit your day job. Don't forget to purchase content from others as well to build your site. You can buy content all over the place for 10% or less the cost of shooting it yourself.
Slowly build your content and traffic and in due time you can celebrate the fact that you have enough to quit your day job and live off your new profession.
