I want to tell everybody who's using lame Google Analytics or StatCounter about GetClicky. I've been using GetClicky for the last two years across all my sites. The reason it beats Google, and other statistics sites is that GetClicky is real time. I've been watching the "Spy" function and actually fixed 404 errors in realtime. You can also click into an IP address of a visitor and see their exact path across your site, what they did, how much time they spent looking at each page, etc. It's really in depth and fun to look at.

Does anybody know of anything better? If not, check out GetClicky.

Google just went real-time, this has been around for 2 years, and back when I tried Google analytics out it had a huge 24 hour delay which I didn't like.

Another reason to use anything but Google Analytics is that do you want Google knowing what users do on your site? I don't feel comfortable with that, as I don't know how that would affect my search rankings.

Another vote for Piwik !

piwik has some problems with frames. We had to remove it from some sites.
