I would beg to differ, in regards to porn posts, that is.
My twitter accounts, for example, autopost from various rss feeds of the adult programs that I am an affiliate of.
For adult content on twitter, the duration of time between after-work hours up into the wee hours of the night is when my click-through rate climbs. The same occurs on the weekends as well. This goes contrary to the article which says that posting after 8pm (or on the weekends) should be avoided on twitter.
(Additional Note: My twitter posts are all hashtagged with #NSFW and #porn, so I would doubt that persons who are working would click on my links between the hours of 1-3pm in the afternoons as recommended in the article. Also, #twitterafterdark, which starts after midnight, used to prove quite useful in attracting the horny bastards who are up late on twitter. Haven't used that hashtag in a while though.)
The same applies for the Facebook recommended time of 1pm-4pm. The average person is working or using the company internet around that time. An adult link isn't necessarily going to be clicked through (or shared) because of that.
I don't do tumblr anymore, but at least the recommendation in the article sounds correct.
