Looking for any recommendations for digital fingerprinting for video to put a halt to copyrighted and bad content being uploaded.

Currently using MD5 hash but as everyone knows this isn't terribly good.

Any suggestions or companies providing this would be appreciated.

I just got a quote for $27K to set up forensic watermark on downloaded videos. That includes hardware and software.

We built a similar thing on our site but just for images (invisible watermark being embedded with user information like his name/IP/time). And we have a proof of concept that we can build it for video as well, but did not yet get around to it.

Has anyone tried an Audio Finger marking like that found in Cinavia, its really hard to remove.

There doesn't seem to be much info on it.

We're developing our own after looking at the costs involved with so many other products around, actually cheaper to develop something in-house and then we at least own it as well.

Most products are an on-going cost. We'll make available to other webmasters in the future through our charity.

I guess your copyright is your right regardless of the content is.
