Just skipping through it, sounds like a well-produced album - I'll have to give it a serious listen later...

Lots of lush mellotron synth work - could use a little more edgy/rocking guitar, especially on the later tracks.

I don't care how good that drummer is...without Jimmy Chamberlain, they are not the same band. That guy was one of the best drummers in rock history. You can't replace that.

Just bought it today and love it already. Definitely sounding like the old stuff for sure.

My favorite Billy Corgan album though is the one he put out as Zwan.

I gave it a full listen today. Best album they've (or should I say HE?) put out in years.

I haven't listened to the new album yet, but I saw Billy Corgan's new "smashing pumpkins" band last summer, and they were fucking awful. Weirdest concert ever, they didn't play a single smashing pumpkins song.

Had no idea they were still going. Used to quite like them...

He did an equally awesome interview on Opie and Anthony on SiriusXM the day after his Stern interview. It's amazing that the guy is a fucking full blown rockstar but still understands his place in music history and is honest and self deprecating.

I met Billy at an ECW Wrestling show back in 2000 and he couldn't have been a nicer guy. It's funny because you listen to the Smashing Pumpkins lyrics and you might think he is this over emotional guy that is too cool for the room, but the truth is he is an intelligent, brutally honest guy that will talk to anyone and everyone. At the time I had a roommate that was an ECW wrestler and I was doing promotions for several pro wrestling companies, but he didn't know that and still talked to me for over a half hour about the wrestling biz. It stunned me how genuine a person he was...

I've loved Siamese Dream and Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness as a teenager, but I completely forgot about them for some reason.. Time to listen to these albums :) Will DL the new one also, thx :pimp
