Post up Pictures of Your Office/Work Area

I know there have been some threads in the past, but I am curious how many are using dual or very large HD monitors and what not. I know some have said in similar threads dual is the way to go, and others just seem to go larger with their screens.

What does your office area look like?

No pictures, but I have 2 24" monitors and a laptop.

I prefer dual. It allows you to separate your work. Same thing with multiple computers. Each of my computers is set up to perform and focus on particular tasks.

Example: laptop is my communication computer. ICQ, e-mail, Skype, other similar programs. When I need to work, I turn away from the laptop and have no distractions.

I recently switched to a dual monitor set up when I upgraded my main machine. It took a little getting used too, but I like it. I use it in a similar fashion as you described. However, I still have two other machines on the either side of my main machine for different things. One to the far left, one to the far right.

Typically I will have one doing uploads, or video processing, and the other I use for copying or other tasks depending on what I am working on. Most of the time I am working on 2-3 different tasks, and find it much easier for how I work to split them across different machines. Luckily I have a big desk.

I wanna see pictures of your computers.....

I have two 21.5" which I prefer over using larger screens, and my Macbook on the side. I sometimes have a 32" as well which I use more for watching movies while doing boring work. Working out of my garage while the house gets worked on so I'm not posting pics :1orglaugh

Using two monitors make no sense.

I use one big monitor.

We have only 2 eyes, so you will always finish looking at 1 monitor, and in the long term you will lose concentration and focus with 2 monitors...

Other than showing off or just buying the new hype mode of the business, it makes no sense to use more than 1 monitor.

Otherwise explain me with strong arguments why you would use 2 monitors, when you can only look at 1 at a time.

I have something Similar, I have my main 27 inch HD monitor and a small 17" that is to the right of me (My desk is L shaped) the small screen is used for ICQ, email tweet deck etc and the main screen is to focus on work. With the small screen being to my right its not too distracting when I am working.

We recently moved into a new place, so it's still a wreck. Not even gonna show the rooms where shit is piled up to the ceiling, lol.

Here are a few pics:

My main desk(s). Three PCs with dual monitors, one with single, and one 27" Mac. (And, my car parked outside.)

View from my assistant's desk (looking toward my desk).

My wife's (Alysha) desk. Basic stuff for paying work related bills, etc. She does most stuff from home.

Our "reception" area desk. Never used...

Two of our shooting rooms. The others are filled with junk still...

Since this video, we've moved (again), and I added a Macbook Pro (in addition to the Mac Pro desktop), and a 52" TV to the mix. Now I just need a desk -- haven't figured that out at the new house yet.

SekobA 12-02-2012 12:40 PM

ehh too clean to be true !!! mine has a ton papers on the desk :pimp

The person who picked that should be slapped in the face.

Man, people need to stop filming that way.

Haha, yeah, first vid I took on the new phone, I had no idea how it worked yet. It was just designed as a quick peek anyway.

LOL, that's funny... this desk was actually in our place when we moved in. The landlord asked if we wanted to toss it, and Alysha said to just leave it and she'll use it. She only uses it for basic stuff, so looks aren't important to her.

When it comes to actual photo/video editing, coding and site updates, I do 10% of my work on a Mac Pro with dual 22" LCDs and 90% of my work sitting on the couch with a 13" Macbook Air.
