What are the most effective serch engin techniques?
 

I would like to know what are the techniques you know or use, to improve in results. I have been reading for some, but it seems that most say "spam forums, blogs, etc..." with automatic software. Some tell me this trick does not longer work, so, what trick actually works today in 2012?

If there are any "tricks" that "work", do you really think someone on here is going to tell them to you for free? What are you offering in return for said Golden Knowledge?

If you aren't offering anything, I recommend you go do your own case studies and test all of the methods you have picked up and see what works best for you and your sites.

Keep it simple. As few header-browser "instructions" as possible (stuff like content expiry, author, revisit...). Make sure every word in the title, keyword and description metas are actually in the body of the page.

Whether or not the spambot approach works, it's temporary. You will get penalized in the end.

Get hard in-bound links, use blogs, twitter, fan forum posts, Tumblr or other social media, do A-B-C link trades, not recips,

The more organic the better. SEM is long-term - it won't get you instant results, but they gather steam after a while....

If you're looking for tricks, try blackhat forums. Just skip the ebook and script salesmen and go straight to the tutorial subforums. I'm not saying I agree with it but you did say you're looking for 'tricks'

As for me, I do only WHITE HAT METHODS. White hat = all about BRANDING

Lot's of good content, quality backlinks... can't go wrong with that.
