Do these ads make you want to stop eating meat?

This is a trade campaign for a set of boning knives. It may also be a good way for your target audience to go vegan.

Thailand's turning out to be one of the places with the creepiest ads.

sandman! 07-10-2012 03:34 PM

still going to grill some steaks tonight :)

garce 07-10-2012 03:37 PM

Makes me want to kill a pig.

Watched a show on NatGeo today about elephants being killed for their tusks. Apparently they cut the front half of the elephants face off to extract the ivory tusks whole. I saw images on that show that I hope to never see again.

I won't even post them here. Its too disturbing - even for me.

mce 07-10-2012 04:00 PM

Well, it worked.... It got people thinking. Thai dude is thinking "WINNING!" lol

RebelR 07-10-2012 08:35 PM

Not at all. If you're going to eat meat, you should realize Its more than a tidy chop or slab that comes wrapped on cellophane at the grocery store. There's a fundamental disconnect with our food these days

Spunky 07-10-2012 08:39 PM

Considering I haven't had any meat in a week, it makes me want a burger

BIGTYMER 07-10-2012 08:43 PM

Just ate 3 hot dogs. Yum!

The secret is to grill them until they char and bubble!

baryl 07-10-2012 08:49 PM

Only people who previously thought their meat just magically appeared in the grocery freezers.

mchacal 07-10-2012 11:08 PM

Yea disturbing for stupid people. I know where my steaks come from.

crockett 07-11-2012 01:11 AM

Are they trying to sell boneless porkchops?

Chosen 07-11-2012 02:22 AM

Not really...

media 07-11-2012 02:27 AM

Nope.. I just think of "boneless" hungry now..

ottopottomouse 07-11-2012 04:43 AM

Pictures are too unnatural to put you off food.

I don't eat meat, but I have strong cravings. The reality pics/videos of animals going through pain are what put me off giving the industry my funding.

AllAboutCams 07-11-2012 05:10 AM

not at all nothing would stop me from eating meat

CaptainHowdy 07-11-2012 05:41 AM

That is a clean cut ...

seeandsee 07-11-2012 05:52 AM

Andreas 07-11-2012 05:55 AM

Makes me wonder how they got the skeleton out like that, and fully intact to boot...

I'm joking but honestly, nothing will make me stop wanting to eat meat... Anyone who knows what scrapple is and loves it already knows the worst of the worst when it comes to trying to gross you away from eating meat.

And hate to break it to you vegans but there is a food chain for a reason. I mean, if you guys are so concerned then shouldn't you be campaigning to stop all other carnivorous creatures from eating smaller/weaker prey?

It's like the peta.xxx website and that documentary video narrated by alec baldwin. The only points in that video are that some laws might need to be revisited for quality assurance purposes.. and that several of the people 'caught on tape' have some mental issues. Does nothing to convince me I should give up meat.

sperbonzo 07-11-2012 07:35 AM

If only you could get knives that worked that well in real life!

ilnjscb 07-11-2012 07:51 AM

Creepy.
<eats bacon>
Yep. Very creepy.
<eats more bacon>

HowlingWulf 07-11-2012 07:51 AM

Has anyone else seen the DVD 'Earthlings' ?

Tom_PM 07-11-2012 07:59 AM

I think it's a weird miss anyway because cooking with bones in makes for more flavorful food.
