The movie theater that got shot up was a "gun free zones", meaning the business stated no guns were allow on premise.

I can actually do all that in Montreal but yet you see way less crazy killing spree like this in countries where there are strick laws about fire arms then in a country where it is easy to get one.

With that said I also have to consider the amount of Canadians vs Americans and if we where so many, then maybe we would also have more crazies.
