Setting up affiliates with local utility companies.
Walking in, shaking things up, and finding out who I need to talk to isn't a problem.
If I wanted to Setup affiliates with local utility companies for people that just moved in to town, people searching, finding leads... What kind of system would be best for this, that is making it work when people buy the product and generating leads the referral would be tracked and the split would come my way. This has been alluded to on here but the thread is buried. |
what are you trying to sell porn?

where I live there is only one electric company one water and sewer company one phone company one cable company, the only option is direct tv or dish if you want satellite. so why would they pay me a referral fee when they are the only company people can use?

A good model to look at. |
I know a few people who are doing something like this for a small electric company in New York.
They are targeting small businesses to sell them electricity, the sales person makes a piece over the amount of electricity they use monthly. |
You don't want to focus on the big boys, you want to focus on the little boys in deregulated states.
For instance, in Maryland gas and electricity was regulated until the 90's and there was only one player in the game. Once it became deregulated a bunch of companies shot up that sell electricity a little bit cheaper. Of course, they do not have their own infrastructure so the big boy still delivers the product and gets paid that way. You want to find the smaller utilities that piggyback off the larger ones and try to solicit them. Same thing with smaller ISP's, etc. As for the technology solution if you want to do this online... I'd go with www.boberdoo.com. They've been around forever and I used them many years ago (online years) when I was generating and selling loan leads to companies like Citi. |
