Reuters: Harvard Study Finds Fluoride Lowers IQ

http://www.reuters.com/article/2012/...12+PRN20120724

Extracts below

"our results support the possibility of adverse effects of fluoride exposures on children's neurodevelopment."

"It's senseless to keep subjecting our children to this ongoing fluoridation experiment to satisfy the political agenda of special-interest groups," says attorney Paul Beeber, NYSCOF President. "Even if fluoridation reduced cavities, is tooth health more important than brain health? It's time to put politics aside and stop artificial fluoridation everywhere," says Beeber.

After reviewing fluoride toxicological data, the NRC reported in 2006, "It's apparent that fluorides have the ability to interfere with the functions of the brain."

Choi's team writes, "Fluoride readily crosses the placenta. Fluoride exposure to the developing brain, which is much more susceptible to injury caused by toxicants than is the mature brain, may possibly lead to damage of a permanent nature."

Fluoride accumulates in the body. Even low doses are harmful to babies, the thyroid, kidney patients and heavy water-drinkers. There are even doubts about fluoridation's effectiveness (2). New York City Legislation is pending to stop fluoridation. Many communities have already stopped.

Infant formula when mixed with fluoridated water delivers 100-200 times more fluoride than breastmilk"

They have known this since the early 1930s when the Russians and Germans used it in their water to keep their people "stupid and docile." It is a known poison and many governments have been giving it to their people all this time. Finally with some mainstream media coverage more people will wake up, if it's not too late.

When you go into the Fluoridated areas of the UK, you can tell most people there are different, it's a noticeable effect :2 cents:

Stupid people are easier to control, no wonder they add it to the water in the USA.

What other reason would it be? Better dental health? Give me a fucking break.

rowan 07-27-2012 04:51 AM

The thing that scares me is consumer water filters that add fluoride back in. It's actually a feature.

wehateporn 07-27-2012 04:51 AM

Apparently there are regular high level meetings in the Pentagon discussing US dental health :winkwink:

The next one they're going for is Lithium, we are told that a few depressed people will be cheered up and not commit suicide if we add Lithium to our drinking water, the problem is that the rest of us will be going round with giant smiles and vacant expressions as more unprovoked wars are started, and as we are eventually stripped of the rights that we still have left.

I have well water. Last water test had it at 0.4ppm. It's naturally occurring in my water.

people put chlorine in their swimming pools, that's a poison. is that a conspiracy too or do we just use it to avoid getting things like the fucking plague?

Yes, there is a natural occurrence in most water supplies, as well as in rocks and other natural things. From what I understand the issue is when it goes over a certain amount, which has been the issue with governments ADDING more to the water supply, in addition to it being used more and more for dentistry and tooth care.

You can also filter it out if you don't want it. There are a few different methods to do so.

This video is worth 6 minutes of your time.

wehateporn 07-27-2012 07:19 AM

Completely agree DWB :thumbsup Also what goes in the water supply is a different type of Fluoride, not natural; it's actually toxic waste from the Aluminum industry

DWB's video said the tooth paste and water fluoride were different.

So it's ok to use tooth paste with fluoride?

"our results support the possibility"...end of story.

It's still toxic, just not as bad as what's in the water.

I'd recommend the Fluoride-Free sold by Tom's of Maine :2 cents:

Impossible to avoid it 100%, but I'd try to avoid fluoride as much as possible. Try to use natural tooth paste or even make your own if you're that type of guy.

Truth be told, we're probably fucked already, but if you have kids, do it for them.

However, fluoride isn't the only scary thing. Google "Bisphenol A" and learn about that horrible cancer causing chemical and what plastics use it and which ones to avoid. You know those little recycle numbers on most everything plastic? Those tell you what's in the plastic. Try to get plastics that are "BPA Free." You will find conflicting reports on this, always the Gov saying there is "some concern" but independent studies all point to it being bad, and some countries totally ban it.

Good place to start: http://tlc.howstuffworks.com/home/re...-by-number.htm

http://ecovillagegreen.com/903/what-...-numbers-mean/

Once you start digging into all the different plastics, it will boggle your mind how many of the things we have that are not healthy for us. Another thing I've noticed is many plastics that are considered unsafe if they are heated up, are the very plastics we use to heat shit up with. :Oh crap

How we are being poisoned from all directions is a giant rabbit hole of information if you ever go down it. But it explains the explosion in high cancer and autism rates.

Anyway, talking about nutrients in food and water, anyone heard of the study that claims hormones in chickens increases the rate of homosexual attraction? Hoax? If hormones are at issue, why aren't people concerned about soy?

The most serious harm fluoride does is to the pineal gland which it calcifies over time.

Sunny Day 07-29-2012 02:55 AM

Really sure it's Fluoride?

Unless the test subjects only drink distilled water or the other group only drank distilled water with fluoride, there's no way to be sure.
Yearly my utility sends out a flyer describing all the other shit in the water. Stuff like herbicides and pesticides, although they claims it's "safe levels." Chlorine is added to kill germs. They ask people not to flush unused medicines as that gets in the drinking water.
People drink water and pop out of plastic bottles and there's warnings that the plastic leaches into our drink.
These test subjects could have gotten the problem from other chemicals in their water. How big was the test? Where did they all live. There could have been other environmental factors. I notice the article in The Guardian was a press release and the contact for this group was Paul Beeber, JD (as in lawyer). Also if you go to his NYSCOF website, it's unreadable. You think a lawyer would know what paragraph breaks are. I always find web sites like this or people who try and me handouts with 5000 words in small type have a screw or two loose.
There are studies proving just about anything. But it's a question of say 100 studies say one thing and 1 or 2 say the opposite. Quake medical clinics are good at having 1 or 2 studies claiming their amazing cure rate. Then you find out they did their own studies.

wehateporn 07-29-2012 03:11 AM

The concern is that this fits in with the findings of the Chinese study (reduces IQ) and the stories of why Hitler put Fluoride in the water. There have been documentaries warning of this, and at last Harvard have decided to find out once and for all what's going on and why we're really having our water fluoridated.

The Harvard study compares different areas in the US, so the water is almost identical apart from having Fluoride added in some and not in others. That rules out the Chlorine as it's in all of them.

"The children in high fluoride areas had significantly lower IQ than those who lived in low fluoride areas,"

There are a lot of things out there that supposedly either lower the sperm count in males or plays with our hormones. BPA is said in some studies to create "gender confusion," so it is no surprise that in countries like Thailand where they have many BPA plants, zero real waste regulation (they dump everything in the water), and the locals eat EVERYTHING from plastic bags, that you will find more transsexuals than anywhere else on earth. I suppose it could be a coincidence, but I doubt it. The old joke of "there must be something in the water" is true in this case.

So to hear about hormones in chickens possibly being linked to more gender confusion, I am not surprised one bit. The reality is, all of these companies are putting god knows what inside of everything we eat and drink, and the long term effects are just now starting to be known. Just like they used to think it was OK to smoke while pregnant, in 10 or 20 years from now they may tell us that everything we've been eating and drinking has been killing us. We're literally learning as we go, at the cost of human health and life.

Then from the in foil hat side, you could say all of this is an attempt at population control. Doesn't seem to be working, but then again, they may just be getting started. Considering all the sick and twisted shit governments have done to their people (and are probably still doing) over the years, I don't put anything past anyone.

They make fluoride free toothpaste. Hit a nearby natural food stores, they should have a decent selection. Because you are right, it is impossible not to digest some when you brush your teeth, and I'm sure a decent amount is absorbed through our gums.
