I know this is old but still scary
Like the title says, this is from May but its a topic i've been researching for some time now as I'm not interested in getting screwed by one of these prepaid card providers.
paymentsystem-journal . com/category/paxum/ - Remove spaces I know im new here and likely nobody gives a shit but over the course of the last few months, i've noticed a lot of the prepaid providers dont even have the proper license to do business in the US. I know AlertPay didnt and they ended up losing services in the US because of it. My bet is that Paxum is next to be scrutinized by the new transfer laws.... |

Sorry guys....not a fake nick. I'm just new to this business and have been trying to make a decision on who to use should I start an affiliate program.
It would be great to actually get an opinion from someone here though. I can assure you im not some other poster with a fake nick.....just new with very few posts as I dont have much knowledge and therefore dont normally post. Just looking for some help and was told this was the board to get it. Seems like this board is more about insults then business though... |

I have used paxum for some time and it works fine.
|
I like my paxum.
|
I ♥ Paxum ...
|
Never had an issue with Paxum.

paxum is great.

Its quite hilarious you all think im a troll....does every noob get this reaction?!
Good to hear people like Paxum though. Still uncertain about using them if they are not properly licensed to operate in the US. Being registered with Fintrac and being a licensed MSB is completely different. I read that, if any payment company is indeed not licensed and caught, their assets are frozen and they can be fined upwards of $2,500 per transaction.....very few companies have the capital to cover fines of that nature. This is really the only reason I keep asking about this. Anyhow, hopefully someone here believes im not a troll and only looking for help.... |
Seems as though most of you couldnt care less where your funds are kept. I figured it wouldnt be like this after reading about what happened to a lot of you with epassport...
|
I dont use it, but if I did I would ask them up front "do you have a license to do business in the united states?" Or something similar to that. Why wonder when you can get the answer?
|
Funny thing is, I have asked them and their reply(along with the info they publish online) is that they are registered with Fintrac. I dont think any of their employees know as I have yet to find a post by Ruth or Chris about this....hence why Im asking here cause I was told there are some highly knowledgeable people on this board.
Registering a business with Fintrac doesn't involve any checks or approvals. Its more or less just a simple database of registrations. Im not interested in getting screwed out of any money.... |
