Deal for someone looking for free host for blogs etc.

here's my deal proposal:
- we set you up with a blog (or you do it if you want) - we host it for free for you, provide you with some backlinks, plenty of picture and video content if you wish. We can also provide you with advice/support and work with you when useful, but you'll have the last word on everything. it's your blog after all :)
- you can use it to write what you like and add reflinks to any program you wish. You'll get 100% of the sales you make with such programs.
- you can use your domain name, or if you prefer we can get one for you. If you use your domain name, you can walk away with it anytime, no questions asked, and we'll hand you the content that you can put elsewhere.

What we ask in exchange:
- We'd like to have a percentage of the content you are promoting going to the sites in our program. Say, something like 15%-20% of the content would link to us - reflinks to our content are ok (i.e, you make money also out of the traffic you send to our program). We'd like to have also a couple of non-intrusive backlinks.
- nothing else :-)

Note that we have not used this model before, but I'd like to experiment with it.

I am flexible on the theme of the blog, but it would like it to be roughly in one of our niches. Check them here.

We have open spots for doing this with 2-3 people, to see if it works before potentially opening up to others.

Great idea, but hosting is so fucking cheap now... free hosts aren't even really needed any more. Roll back time 5-10 years ago? You would have made a fortune. That's my :2 cents:

I agree with you, hosting is fucking cheap.

The idea though came from reading a number of posts that convinced me that:

1. For some people who are trying out, even "a few bucks" VS. "free" makes a difference. People try to sell their sig for 15$, and they are not necessary the most unskilled.

2. Some people may be decent or good writers, but they might not necessarily be at ease with setting up stuff the right way. We can help there.

3. In any case, there's no risk for someone trying this - they can still retain the domain, they get help and backlinks, they promote whoever they want, they can walk away any time with their content and domain... so I guess for some people should be a "why not?" deal for mutual benefit.

In any case we'll see if anyone is interested :-)

I understand this - you are an established webmaster though, with plenty of knowledge about the industry etc. The idea is more geared towards guys who may need some help to startup :-) we'll see if anyone is interested...

Our content is very realistic, and we are aiming at the market of people who like it that way (believe me, there are enough of such people, otherwise we would not be in business...)
"Hanka" is the real name of the girl, and she is fine her real name to be used on the website. If we had to pretend that she is called Johanna Naughyboobs or something, this will spoil the magic for our type of audience.

But will try at some point to launch a site with porny-American-friendly name, and we'll check the conversions, happy to be proven wrong :thumbsup

Let's make this more interesting for everyone, this is a serious idea, it would be interesting and educational for everyone if Paul Markham signs up and reports back every couple of weeks to let us know how it's all going.

Yeah, hosting is cheap right now... But from time to time I use free hosts to toss a few blogs up. I have a few of these that do a sale a day or a sale every other day to Alp Girls...

Go buy an account at hostgator and start hundreds of sites. Extremely cheap and it works.

I agree, and would always recommend the $15 per month shared deal, though for domains I'd go for NameCheap; Hostgator are ok with domains, their system isn't perfect, but with hosting they're second to none :2 cents:
