The NBC Olympic announcers need to shut up.
 

I watched the US Women's soccer team win gold today and the two announcers were good during the match, but blew it after.

As they handed out the medals the public address announcer at the stadium said each person's name as they received their medal so the crowd could cheer for them. After the first few medals were handed out the announcer starts talking about a bunch of crap that has nothing to do with what is happening and he is drowning out the other guy so you can't hear the names.

I kept wanting him to shut the hell up, show a little respect and let these women have their moment.

@kane i noticed the same thing yesterday after watching some volleyball , they don't let us hear what's really going on , but have to listen to there stories it's stupid they should have to shut up while we can listen to the "officials"

Watching it now.

Why did they boo that IOC guy?

Apparently he has made some unpopular decisions in the past, but I don't follow soccer closely enough to know exactly why.
