Is John whatever his last name is, still the guitarist? Really liked watching him play but I heard he was replaced.

No, a young guy replaced John. John is so awesome I love watching him live but this guy is sufficient.

They have a new guitarist named Josh Klinghoffer, who is John Frusciante's friend. He played with the band as backup guitarist on their tours and when John went solo he eventually tapped in as replacement. Josh and John had a collaboration album too.
