Paul Ryan will be Mit's VP

Just heard it on NBC.

keysync 08-10-2012 10:02 PM

Does he have to quit as congressman to run?
Anyone know?

galleryseek 08-10-2012 10:40 PM

Voted for TARP, voted for auto bailouts. Crony-capitalist along with Mitt & Obama.

Which would you like, some shit over here on the left or some shit over here on the right, sirs?

Young 08-10-2012 10:44 PM

Wants to kill Medicare and Grandma.

This should go over well with old white republicans who rely on that shit. "Dont touch my Medicare!" if I recall correctly.

This is almost as desperate as choosing Palin.

Romney can now kiss Florida goodbye along with any other state with a lot of retirees.

Yup. A horrible choice. Then again, any of them would be. All the GOP has are scumbags. :disgust

looky_lou 08-10-2012 11:12 PM

If you heard it on NBC, it must be true.:1orglaugh

spunky99 08-10-2012 11:12 PM

they're not trying to win

Brujah 08-10-2012 11:17 PM

As posted in the other Ryan thread, Ryan is a wasted pick. It doesn't pick up the independents and may even lose some Republicans.

You hit the nail on the head !

Brujah 08-10-2012 11:41 PM

Do you think Rubio said no thanks? Maybe he wants to run in 2016.

From: http://www.electoral-vote.com/

Under Wisconsin law, Ryan can run for Vice President and the House at the same time, so accepting the offer has no downside and even if he loses, would make him a serious player--maybe th favorite--in 2016

kane 08-11-2012 02:02 AM

This pick will help him win Wisconsin, but likely could cost him in Florida. If he can't win Florida he likely cannot win the election.

Joshua G 08-11-2012 02:18 AM

if that ticket wins, then paul ryan will be the next president of the united states.

:2 cents:

Freaky_Akula 08-11-2012 04:31 AM

.

tony286 08-11-2012 05:01 AM

If he got christy he would of won

keysync 08-11-2012 07:56 AM

I can see Rubio/Ryan ticket in 2016 This election no matter who wins is going to preside over the fall of Americas economy.

Joshua G 08-11-2012 08:13 AM

what an ass. He DID introduce ryan as the next president of the united states.

should romney win, which wont happen. then ryan will be romneys dick cheney, secretly running the country behind his puppet.

FrozenJag 08-11-2012 08:16 AM

I think it was a good pick. If he wasnt going to pick Rubio, then Ryan is the next best choice.

Look, if your a business man/woman, you better get behind the republican party this election. If not the US is screwed as we know it.

Im tired as hell working 4 months out of the year for free, just to help load somebody elses electronic benefits card thats sittin on their ass eatin twinkies.

Paul Markham 08-11-2012 08:25 AM

He'll lose and have his own reality show to make up for it. LOL

keysync 08-11-2012 08:31 AM

Well the Dems and the media are at him already.
I just heard them say Ryan will take us back to exactly what Bush was doing and that doesn't work.
Anyone that has a single brain cell would know what Ryan wants is nothing like ANY president has ever tried. Will it work? Fuck if I know. What I do know is what's going on now isn't going to work for much longer. Something needs to change with the way the Gov spends the money or we're fucked.

bronco67 08-11-2012 08:48 AM

+1 If you look at the government like you would a business. Money in, Money out, Budgeting, etc its a fucking trainwreck and a disgrace to us as Americans.

Big government is the problem fam. Gov doesnt HELP business, it hurts it via higher taxes, more red tape, etc.

We need less spending, balance the budget, and then hopefully be able to LOWER taxes quickly as possible.

More gov means more spending means more deficit, higher taxes, which means the US going over a financial cliff and same time turning our work force into lazy people that get money for nothing.

Spending more money is not the answer, you cant spend yourself out of our countries problem.

Anybody that does real business int he U.S. and PAYS their taxes legit, and has tried to grow a company, add employees, and get ahead knows what im talking about. I also have an offline business and dealing with the gov is a fucking joke when trying to work with their dif agencies.

No I feel you, neither party is good IMO. I consider myself an Independent. Its just I KNOW what Obama has done the last 4 yrs, and will only get worse in the 4 yrs to come. We cannot go through another 4 and survive as a country IMO. Well we will survive its just the damage will take a looong time to correct.

All I care about is getting a fiscal conservative in the WH and atleast CLAIMS they want to balance our budget. I dont see the current admin saying any such thing. They want more bigger gov, more gov spending, higher taxes, and if any cuts at all they take from our military. SMH.

Please point out the last republican administration that shrunk govt and balanced the budget.

Reagan I suppose. Trust me, I say bring back Clinton for a 3rd term! I didnt like his gun control, taxes could have been lower, but overall he was pretty great for the country it seems. I was pretty young back then tho.

You can twist the numbers all you want.
The cold facts are we went from 10 trillion to 16 trillion in under 4 years.
I honestly don't' know where we were when bush started. Maybe bush spent all of the 10 trillion. in 8 years, I honestly don't know and haven't looked it up.

My very simple point is we can't continue to spend more than we take in.
Romney is a Rhino.. I don't like him.
However if Ryan is what he preaches he is different than ANY politician we've ever had in the WH. And we need someone to grow some balls and fix this fucking spending.

Tha's a generalization....

I'm hardly a "righty"

I understand some of the far lefts arguments.
The basic problem I have with damn near everything they whine about is WE CAN"T AFFORD IT!!!!
Why the fuck can't people get that through their head?

If Obama gets re-elected where do you see our economy and national debt heading in the next 4 years.
He can't even get a damn budget through congress...

People have a very short memory. In the months leading up to Obama being inaugurated the economy was in a complete free fall, we were losing 750,000 jobs a month, a day didnt go by that a major corporation wasnt going under, we were headed for a major depression. I'm not a big fan of Obama, but considering the resistance the gop has given him I would say he has done as well as to be expected. Now people want to blame him for Bushs mess and worse, put a Bush on steroids Mitt in there.

Correct me if I'm wrong, wasn't that how he balanced the books and Bush went the opposite way and got the debt back?

ALL politicians do the opposite. Just watched a thing on CNN showing "candidate" Obama's promises that he made when he was trying to get elected. Over 500 of them. He didn't do shit that he said either.

Republican or Democrat...they are all just wanting power and money.

For the first couple of years he was president...the Democrats controlled the entire govt. (senate and the house)
They never even passed one single budget. They were all in a frenzy trying to get pork barrel spending for their political friends in their respective home states.

Meanwhile the country went further down the toilet.

In my opinion, the country does best with the house and Senate controlled by one party and the presidency controlled by the other. Like when Reagan and Clinton were president.

I think Obama could turn his presidency around if he wins this November and the Republicans take over the Senate as well as the house

Finally getting the Senator of my state Nevada, Harry Reid, OUT as Senate majority leader would go a long way towards getting things done.
He has stalled and delayed EVERY vote on every issue in the Senate for years now.

How old are you? As much as they hated Clinton there wasnt a tenth of the resistance there is now. Where was the resistance against either of the Bush's?

keysync 08-11-2012 10:51 AM

The country was doing great during Clinton. Plus he likes getting blowjobs from interns and who can argue with that?
I don't know if Bush had resistance from the democrats because I don't generally pay attention to politics.
I've just recently taken an interest in it.

You're trying to skew my point.

What is even your question? There was certainly big resistance from the left when Bush was in office, just as there's big resistance from the right with Obama in office. It's a fucking puppet show, orchestrated by mass media. Getting yourself involved in left vs. right is just proof of being a sheep.
