The Arizona Republic changes access to content
The Arizona Republic soon will unveil a new subscription model, joining a rapidly growing number of news organizations that charge for access to their content on both print and digital platforms.
Starting Sept. 10, online users of azcentral.com who don't have a subscription to The Republic generally will need to pay if they want to continue reading a significant number of articles and related content on the website. Certain pages and material, including the home page, section fronts, obituaries, classified advertising and stories with a strong public-safety focus, will remain available. full article... |

Oh noz at having to pay for access to the content others have paid to create! The porn industry should try this model.

With the exception of the Wall Street Journal, I know of no success stories of news media succeeding with a pay model on the web. There is too much free competition -- advertiser supported -- people go elsewhere. |
$10 a month thats fair
