automated video screen captures
Ok! in Windows 7 I want a program that will take my HD or SD video movie (mpg wmv mp4 mov) and capture a certain amount of jpeg screen captures.. e.g. 1 every minute, or 50 images per video.
I used an oldskewl program named frameshots but what's the modern day equivelant :) |

Video Charge
|
sweet, will try it out - just didnt know if it could take photos on a per video basis or timeline :D
|
VideoCharge has been the best Windows app for this for almost 10 years now.
I still boot into Windows to use it from time to time. |
ffmpeg is what you want.
|
Install ffmpeg and run the command below.
ffmpeg -i moviename.mov -r .1 -aspect 16:9 -vf yadif preview-%d.jpg |
VLC Media Player should do the job just fine.
|
maybe camstudio if looking free stuff
|
I use Topaz Monent but I think Topaz labs may have discontinued it!

don't touch that ffmpeg shit - just like regular expressions, there are about 5 people in the whole world that know how to use it
ffmpeg = no good documentation and a lot of frustration go with video charge |
Ffmpeg is the way to go.
