clothing apparel business

Hey guys, i have been trying to start a clothing apparel business that caters towards people who love the outdoor country activities such as mudding, hunting, fishing 4 wheeling and dirt bikes.

I have a great logo design and and the slogan is perfect. Im having trouble on a limited budget getting this to sell. I have a store through Big Cartel, and a blog. As well as facebook and twitter. I am trying to subliminally post stuff with out selling on sites such as meetme. I have shirt designs and shorts designs as well as vinyl decal designs. Actual products i have are some ladies tanks and basic mens shirts with simply the slogan on it and nothing else. Plus one basic 3 X 10 vinyl window decal.

what measures can i take on a limited budget to get better noticed. I don't really have the website name on anything. I am trying to get it listed through google and as you know that is a challenge. I dont want to hand out free merch but at this point, i am thinking you have to take a hit in some places in order to gain in others. If i give out some free stuff, i am thinking it will attract some attention. My main demographic is kids 16-24. although i know it can go way higher than that, but i figure if you can start with kids then that is a stepping stone. Im not sure how to get the product into mainstream country stores such as bass pro shop or gander.

SUGGESTIONS..

Hi,

I suggest you to try Alibaba for selling your clothes. You can get lot of potential buyers from there.

ok. i will see about that.

I did recieve my first sale off ebay yesterday so that is promising. My wife had a bad buying experience from alibaba but i kind of saw it coming in her "oo i can make lots of money fast doing this" .. you know how that works out. she though she could buy iphones from a supplier and sell on ebay. she got scammed from the supplier and never got the phones. it came from alibabas so that is my only issue with them.

I'd throw up a domain, a nice site. Then perhaps even a youtube channel featuring the shirts. You may have to boot strap or try and write up a business plan and seek investors. Google SCORE chapter in your area so you can meet up with people in the business who've retired and can be honest with you. They'll tell you to write a business plan, etc. Perhaps you can try and seek some textile factories in China or overseas who can offer you a deal on bulk clothing and even make your clothes for you.

You might want to try going to some local stores and see if you can get them to stock them for you. If they are not interested, give them a higher profit margin. The main thing is to get it started.

i have a domain. I list on ebay. i have an online store as a subdomain in which i use bigcartel.com for the selling script. I will do the Youtube channel as that sounds like a great idea. I am trying to not get investors involved strictly for the purpose of selling shirts is a minimal expense to make them and i dont want to have to give investors 35-40 of my idea just for money to use for marketing.. I have a mild plan that i gave my brother two years ago and he liked it. His suggestions were to try and do it myself since its techncally small start up to avoid the investors. I take his word for everything since he has a few businesses of his own, and i have some that i do as well that used to be construction and of course the adult sites i have which is still about business and investing money.
