Is it better as a small paysite owner to have a blog to promote the paysite on the paysite domain.. ex paysite.com/blog or a stand alone blog paysitenicheblog.com

and add it as a promo tool for your affiliates.

I use the subdirectory approach. Better for SEO. At least from my experience.
