Could the percentage be less than today if were not for all of those other things mentioned? Sure. Could the adult business, industry wide, helped to prevent this by using DRM or other technology? Hmm I dunno. They'd possibly be complaining about *something*, but they'd be making good (which may not be the same as your good, admittedly) money. Adult, specifically SE traffic, died overnight for me with Penguin. Killed it stone fucking dead, now at 1/15th of what I was doing 12 months ago - now, Google would obviously have still changed their algos over the years obviously, but I just can't compete in Google when they are geared up to give the surfers want they want, regardless of how the now top SERPs got to be able to give the surfer all that free stuff (which I have no real beef with, aside from the occasional rant when in a bad mood) in the first place.

Piracy is illegal, it's theft and it should be stopped regardless of profits at either end of the equation. Making money from Piracy aggravates the act of piracy leading to stiffer potential penalties.

Robbing a bank that makes no profit is just as illegal as robbing a bank which makes an obscenely huge profit.
