Man drops gun in movie theater, shooting himself in the ass
:1orglaugh
Police say a man accidentally shot himself in the buttocks at a Nevada movie theater during a showing of ?The Bourne Legacy.? The moviegoer was at the Century 14 theater Tuesday night when a gunshot rang out. After receiving several calls reporting seven to eight shots, police in Sparks, Nev., dispatched police units as well as fire and medical crews only to find out one shot was fired by accident. Witnesses inside the theater told officers the gun fell from the man?s pocket as he was adjusting himself in the seat, and it fired when it dropped to the floor, striking him in the buttocks. The 56-year-old man then reportedly stood up, apologized to those around him and left the theater before police arrived. He checked himself into a nearby VA hospital in Reno, where he was treated for a gunshot wound to his buttocks, according to a police report. His injury is not considered to be life-threatening. Police say there was no panic in the theater and that only five people reported hearing the gunshot out of the approximately 30 people in the audience. No one else on the scene was injured. Police said the man has a valid permit to carry a concealed firearm. http://usnews.nbcnews.com/_news/2012...-buttocks?lite |
Jesus fucking christ.. What if the bullet ended in someone around in the audience? Is apologize enough?

So what if he accidently shot some kid instead of his own ass ? I fail to see how it's a good thing that almost anybody, anywhere in America can carry a gun with live ammo...

So much for the 'guns don't kill people, people do' motto.

Why does everyone feel they need a gun with them at all times?? Stupid.
|
it is just unbelievable to anyone outside US how a man with a fucking gun can go in a movie theater full of people. I mean you cant bring a cigarette in there but you can bring a gun.. only in usa..

Because there are people out there so scared of their own shadow they only feel safe enough to leave the house with a gun. We used to call these kind of people pussies, the NRA calls them 'real men'. |

I like guns about as much as any redneck and would probably carry one myself if it was allowed here. But if you carry a gun in public, shouldn't you be required to have it holstered properly, without one in the chamber, safety on?
If your gun accidentally goes off you should be charged with illegal discharge of firearm or something like that. Just read the bottom of the article. At least it sounds like they will charge him with something. |

i think you are all missing the big issue here, only 30 people were watching The Bourne Legacy? Is it a stinker then?

I believe for CCW, there should be a little more training, Yearly even. Where I live we now have Open carry, and you do not even need a permit for this. I LOVE guns, and I love my right to have and carry, but this open carry without a permit or proper training is NUTS. Yes, I know a permit has the gov tracking you, who cares... |

i cant afford a gun... :(

More guns is clearly the solution!!! I love gun nuts that talk about this shooting in colorado. If only everyone was armed they would have shot and killed the shooter!! Really?? And you don't think you'll be taking out more innocent people in the process? Like a handgun is going to do shit against someone with an assault rifle.
