Is it so important to have a presentation website?

I registered on gfy last year and since then I managed to find decent work and increase my income. Will it help me to find more work if I would have a website with writing samples and other stuff I do? I keep sending emails to those interested, in my attempt to avoid public exposure here in this shitty country I live in, but I'm starting to think this wouldn't be such a bad idea (a website I mean). What do you guys think?

Well, I actually kinda' have one on a free subdomain (ironically called 3x), so I can use that. It's "www.savy.3x.ro" (blank and dead for now) and the problem is I also have "www.savy.ro", which has nothing to do with pr0n.

Having a well made website with testimonials from quality clients, and being able to rank sites I own for worthwhile relevant keywords, has definitely helped me acquire more clients over the years. However, a website is only good if your reputation is good. It amplifies the quality of your brand - so make sure you have examples of your work, credible testimonials and information worth showing before bothering to build one.

Good luck! :)

Also...

If you plan to work in adult and mainstream, be sure to make two different unlinked sites with separate brands. Mainstream companies prefer it that way.

Thanks for the tips :)
