That dust storm was amazing. I have seen hundreds of them living here the past 20 years, but that one was on totally different level. It literally went from day to night in a few seconds.

How much mess does it leave afterwards?

How bad does a dust storm like that fuck up cars, building glass, air conditioning systems, etc?

Crazy, but the pictures don't match up. That dude in the bottom pic should be facing a cross street. Instead he's facing a driveway. You can tell by the curb formations and width of the driveway. The second shot is probably taken from farther back down the main road.

not terribly bad.. My pool gets the brunt end of it. It takes a day or so and 6-7 backwashes to get it back to what it was.

I hate when people call them "Haboobs". Haboob is a word of Arabic origin and last time I checked, Phoenix is not part of anywhere under Arabic influence. It's a dust storm people. When they say this on TV it drives me nuts. No I'm not a racist so get off it, ok? Dust storm... Big ass dust storm.. and yes, that one was nuts. I agree.. Day to night in about 3 minutes. I saw that one coming and said to my Dad... Oh shit.. gotta go home and take care of a few things before they blow away.
