How much money would you expect to make?

Iam the owner of a free adult/softcore website (adult straight magazines), around 2 years old. I get about 8 to 10k unique visitors daily (~280k unique visits and >1 million pageviews monthly).

70% of traffic comes from search engine, 15% direct traffic and 15% referal traffic (from good sites).
About 20% of visitors are from USA, 15% from germany, 5% Brazil, 5% UK, 3% Canada ... and the rest from all over the world, mainly Europe.

My question is: with this kind of traffic, how much money would you expect to make? I do not use (or want to use) pop-ups, so take that out of your profits.

For real it depends. But I'm sure that it's possible to get at least 40-50$/day from this site.

But it depends on your monetization plan.

With that amount of traffic he should be making that by selling mobile traffic. Test out SGM for all non-US mobile, Plugrush and JuicyAds for all US traffic.

I have almost similar stats and I can get only $13 per day out of it.

What is your site's name?

xp-ViT: My plan is to get as much as I can ;) with no paid content. ATM I don't make 40$/day... I'm making about 30$, using only PPC ads, but I feel it is not that good.

Markul: you redirect your mobile traffic? I find it hard to believe you can make 50$/day only with that...

Don't tell me that mobile redirect earns so much. I got $6 per 1000 mobile traffic via Plugrush. 52% US, 10,5% UK, 4,1% Canada, 3,7% Indonesia, 3,4% Germany, 2,9% Australia ...

i am in exact same position with one of my sites like the OP (softcore from youtube) . mobile redirect with plugrush gets about $3+ per day and i only havbe one 1 on site because I dont like to put too many ads on it (jusicy ads $2 per day) - add gets up to 1000 clicks per day so it is not good. I only wish i could do $50/day.. any advices?

You need to filter it and have backup buyers. Too hungover today to explain lol, I'll come back tomorrow.

Try other PPC/CPM networks:

- Plugrush: place an add and sell your traffic (not only trading), it is the one that works best for me, great daily profit.
- Exoclick: i believe it works best for european traffic, some ad formats get 0,03? CPC (other not so good, you have to test the best for you)
- Ero-advertising: same as exoclick (some ad formats have really good CPC)

I also use Adengage, not so good CPC, but it has an ad format that works really good for me.

can redirect mobile be considered cloaking or otherwise penalizing?

I tried to redirect 3rd tier traffic and G penalized me heavily - now I am using only mobile redirect and it seems fine.

thanks.I'm using plugrush (setup a adzone if that is what you mean) but it only gets 250clicks or so per day. Juicyads gets over 800.. Both bring around $2 which is nothing. plugrush ad format is really bad - too small. Maybe the problem is that I dont allow x rated ads,not even softcore because it is not a porn site although it links to porn sites. - I dont want to alienate my audience.

My site is almost 3 months old, I have around 1k uniques and I make $1 per day.
So 1k = $1 my calculation

That is not good at all. I have like 3 or 4 times better ratio and I am not happy with the result. The explanation might be bad quality traffic?

Sure you can, filter out premium countries that rebill well to programs like SGM, sell the rest to Plugrush/JuicyAds with either or the other as backup (swap when rates go down) and send the excess to a mobile tube you setup with something like GTS ads.

It'll take a while to setup and gain momentum, but unless you have really crappy traffic it's doable.

I Recommend you monitize with Juicy Ads but no pops use other ads available instead.
