Nothing new there in regards to chargebacks being passed back to the originator.

Reality bites.

Maybe you can hit the minimum payout going backwards?

Nothing new? I send traffic to hundreds of sponsors since 2001, never has anyone charged me EXTRA for a chargeback.

Not so long ago people complained about PPS sponsors taking money back for chargebacks. Now it's acceptable to charge me for chargebacks? Fuck off. :321GFY

Does anyone have a direct contact for this sponsor? Not the general support one, since they completely ignore that approach.

Pornopat 08-22-2012 08:48 AM

I hope they allow webmasters to pay them through paxum...

fris 08-22-2012 08:51 AM

probably the actual payment the user pays, with the cross sales?

Let me get this straight...

1. You send a sale to the sponsor.
2. You get credit for the sale.
3. The member you sent does a chargeback, costing the sponsor $25.00+ fee from merchant bank.
4. The sponsor should eat it, and you still get paid?

This is a business, not a hobby. If you sent the sale, you should eat the CB.

On revenue share yes, but not on PPS. It is not PPS if you charge your affiliates for CBs.

.....and people wonder why affiliate programs go out of business, or fuck over affiliates?

It sounds like a bad business model all the way around. The only way they COULD make a profit in that case is cross sales, or upsells. But the affiliates have the balls to bitch about traffic leaks and not getting credit for those.

You can't have your cake, and eat it too.

Are you trying to troll? If the program cannot afford to pay per sale, they should not offer it. If they have not enough rebills to cover the PPS, they should not offer PPS and stick to revenue share. If they do offer PPS, they should honor their agreement. If they do not honor it, they are criminals.

signupdamnit 08-22-2012 09:41 AM

Shitcan them. I've noticed a pattern where it's almost as if some sponsors are actively doing whatever they can to prevent webmasters from ever hitting the minimum payout. With me it's pretty simple if I don't get a payment a month from you I quit pushing your stuff and move on to something that pays.

Some deduct the PPS $ from you, some don't but I have never heard of anyone deducting the CB fee as well.

2intense 08-22-2012 12:36 PM

good deal....

kristin 08-22-2012 02:24 PM

What strikes me as odd is that you are dinged an additional $33 when normally CB fees are $25 a pop. So either someone is making a little extra dough or they pay a much higher CB fee than most.
