It sounds like most of the solo-girl sites are now with large networks. So with this said, can models make it with their own solo site without being part of a network.

I sell tangible retail products, so I have no idea about actual website memberships, but have a friend that is trying to break into porn, which she is doing against a lot of people suggesting she not do it. I for one, am all for people making money, but it sounds like there isn't room on the net for one more some what attractive girl showing off her sluttyness for all to see. If she can make bank, good for her, but if she can make more working at Walmart, I feel she should not post pics of herself that will prevent her from ever getting a job in the small town she lives in.

Just figured you guys would be able to shed some light on the matter, as this is what you guys do day-in and day-out for a living.

If anyone can actually post a news article backing any comments, that would be best. She can at times be very butt-headed when she makes her mind up, and any findings I can show her the better.

Choose sites with less competition, there are some solo girls out there who aren't so well known, they often tend to be ones who update and promote their sites themselves

way too many factors go into having a girl do a solo site. Is she on contract for x years or is she going to be a hit and run shoot 50 sets in 10 days type girl(then you factor in at x point your members will just stop recurring). Will her family find out? will she find god? will she get a bf that makes her quit and finally will she try to cut out the middleman (you) and TRY to do it herself.

As an affiliate i have seen my fair share of solo girl melt downs (on highly profitable sites no less..raven riley).

There are still smart guys out there like spunky and pseudonymous doing solo sites and making $ but honestly I wouldnt do it with 0 experience

Usually solo girls do not make the committment the site needs to be successful. After aprox 3 months they lose interest almost entirely. In the beginning they put a lot of energy into it with content, blog and twitter and when they see that massive sales do not come immediately, they are done with it. That said, a smart dedicated woman that is not work-brickle, working consistently every day shooting and adding content, blogging and tweeting, and with a cam show should be able to build up a nice income relatively quickly. The ingredient that other sites do not have is personality. A personality based amateur solo girl can be very successful if she treats it like a job. Of course, you may think she has to be beautiful, but not necessarily. If she sells, it works, if she does not sell, nothing will ever come of her site. It's that intangible that you cannot predict until you put her out there. Most of us know, not all beautiful babes sell, but if she has that 'something' she will sell. (And I wish I knew what that 'something' was!)
