The Mormon Religion
Sure, this makes sense...
https://youtube.com/watch?v=n3BqLZ8UoZk ----------------- Meanwhile, in an equally credible reality... https://youtube.com/watch?v=vqRxWAqnQ_g |
That's your argument against Romney? The religion he believes in? What religion do you think your President should be, taking into consideration that you are probably not going to find a candidate that is an atheist?
|
Most religions are equally unbelievable if you really think about it.

It is bonkers, and a scary thought to think someone as stupid enought to believe such garbage can become the most powerful man .....
Note the ban on pornography. |

that video is a propaganda video made by a group wanting to discredit mormons. not that i agree with the mormon religion but its not accurate.

I'm very interested in this "celestial sex" thing, but the billion babies is huge turn off. No thanks.
|
i find it suspicious in general when someone who has power over nuclear weapons believes in imaginary gods - no matter which ones

or that evolution took place over a few billion of years. i chose to believe the latter because the first one sounds like bullshit. and when a book starts with bullshit, i doubt the rest will be much better. or to say it with Douglas Adams: Quote:

So if you believe in modern phisics, that's even more strange and unlikely (even if true) than any batman or lords of the rings movie. There is a basic difference: the above science it can be tested, verified, and where not, it is mathematically computable and exact. Regarding mormon guys, even skipping aliens, they need to find archaeological traces of Jesus going in America, of those mormon texts and so on. It is like those who say humans was there before dinosaurs, you dig a few ancient rocks and you see this is simply not true and there it ends the discussion - piriod. |

I certainly believe there is an intelligent design we are all a part of, but to believe in some guy hanging out in space condemning people to fire pits for eternity because we don't believe in some book of ridiculous fairy tales is beyond insane. NOTHING has caused more death and misery on this planet than religion.

i dont. and i (my personal opinion) find it suspicious when people first pray to whatever god and then plan to nuke whole countries. but you dont have access to nukes, therefore i dont consider you dangerous :winkwink: |

People generally start believing in god (whichever god, society dictates is fashionable at the time) when they are closer to dying, for example when they get older or have experienced another sociological event. This then triggers this phenomenon |

Politicians are only religious to con the gullible into voting for them. If you believe otherwise you're either naive, or an idiot. Do you honestly think Romney asked God Himself for permission everytime he bought out a company, disolved it, and fired everyone who worked there? In MOST "free" countries, mentioning your religion or any version of God will get you laughed at and publically humiliated. There is NO DIFFERENCE between Americans screaming over religion, and Afghanistanis screaming over religion. None. You pray (prey is more apt, though) to the same God. You won't find out who was right until you're dead. Answer? No-one was right. You're just dead. No Pearly Gates. No virgins. I'm not religious at all, but I sincerely believe God is not going to be particularly pleased with any of you inbred cunts - no matter what your beliefs are. If that sounds like a contridiction, just think about it for a minute. God has nothing to do with religion. Humans made up "religion". We define it, we change it to suit our purposes. We klll each in the name of the exact same entity that our enemies believe in. All I want is a 70 cent Canadian dollar and three wives. You guys are too busy arguing over gay marraige, God, and abortion to realize its 2012. Give me my fucking exchange rate back, assholes. You are reading GFY. If you're religious, you're going to hell. I'll be the guy shoving the pineapple up your ass. Hi. I'm pleased to meet you. |

I like these threads. Helps me weed out the idiots. Now let me pray before I try to make this 3 foot putt because God will help me make it if I pray enough, If I miss it was Gods will or he had a good reason for me to miss so I can learn something from it LOL,

One can only hope that all of our politicians don't really take this shit seriously and only use their "faith" to get votes from the idiots in the general population who believe in fairy tales (well, I'm pretty sure that dumbass Rick Santorum believes lol...just be thankful that crazy motherfucker didn't win the nomination) |

The pilgrims didn't draft the Declaration of Independence. That came a 156 years after the pilgrims landed. Thomas Jefferson would greatly disagree with your statement about religion. He was very anti-religion. As were most of the founding fathers. Quick google search for "Thomas Jefferson And Religion" will show you that. Matter of fact...Jefferson was more of a Deist than a Christian. Our country has become religiously fanatical in modern times (the last 70 years or so). |

I'm afraid the U.S. is going backwards and is almost as bad as The Taliban with religious intolerance. Hell, it's scary to know that our govt. is run by people who believe in those fairytales. It's downright dangerous. |
