Membership video question
Hello,
I want to add a membership part to my tube site and was buying scenes here at gfy. The file sizes i can use in the script is FLV and MP4 so i ask the guy to convert them into MP4. But the size of video's he uploaded were ranging from 1gb to 2gb per video! Is that normal? Some pro guidance is appriciated, thanks! |
Depends on several factors; key frames, bitrate, resolution. Delivering the content, the seller wants you to be happy... So he's giving you the highest quality. If you need to degrade the content for web delivery, you will need to re-render the content with lesser quality settings.

The most important factor is time. How long are these scenes?
Next most important factor is size. Are they full HD scenes (1080p) or HD (720p) or older SD (480). If your source delivered 1080p but you plan on streaming some smaller size that will save you a bunch of data. 5000bps isn't considered high these days for the encoding. It a matter of your ability to stream that much data. Big tubes do it, others can't. |
the scenes are between 15-20minutes in MP4 1920x1080.
|
1080 is real big for streaming and that is why file size is bigger. I would save a file from your competition and see what size that use, then re-encode these to match
