Start a new thread saying how designers these days are crap, and you could do better. Post a crap banner you have made yourself, and state its wonderful..

Then, in the ensuing chaos, say that no one could do any better, and you'll have about 100 banners to choose from... :2 cents:

thats a big banner ;) looks more like a header to me (size wise) i have a few i made for blogs which are 1000x180, so thats what i assume its for?

You assume right sir, I'm doing a blog based on my life story in porn. Moving the stuff over from www.strictly-porn.com It will have stories from me and other people if I can get contributors. History telling people the differences between then and now. And some reviews on retro and vintage site.

The book is now running at 14,000 words and 1,000 lines and only up to 1977. Maybe two books.

Only Markham would try to get a designer to do a "banner" because it's cheaper than saying he wants a header/logo. Sigh!

To be fair, he probably doesn't know the difference. If you look at the current blog he has, he clearly has no idea of what a blog actually is...

That was my thought, at initial blush. People with enemies are generally important, or seen as threats of some sort. Most people posting in a Paul Markham thread are talking to each other ABOUT Paul, not TO Paul. He usually fails to see the distinction. Even posts that LOOK like they're directly to him are usually simply made to bait him into posting something stupid.

It's kind of like teasing the monkeys at the zoo to watch their reaction. And, like the monkeys, you usually end up ducking some thrown poo. It ends up being about as important, LOL.

For me.. its all those thumbs that are slowing the page load time. That page took 2 mins 10 seconds to fully load...SOme of your thumbs are 100k...for a tiny thumb? Your site needs to go on a diet.
