It'll never happen until the NEXT BIG THING comes along. In spite of their "innovations", Google is an attention whore wholly designed to attract your eyes to their AdSense ads.

As long as sites have traffic and generate pageviews and adclicks for Google, it does not matter what the content of those sites are.

And you'll get Adsense ads returned for the nastiest search terms you can imagine.
