Bill Clinton's Approval Rating - 69%!

Crazy, that means a lot of those who used to despise him must like Slick Willie now that he's an elder statesman.

Sly 09-05-2012 07:13 PM

Pete Rose was a great baseball player. Terrible financial advisor.

If people got past the fact that he had a fat intern blow him, Gore would have been President and the W debacle would never have happened.

Centuries from now historians may view that blowjob as the tipping point in the decline of the West.

Unfortunate but true.

Holy shit. I have never thought of that blowjob in that context, but yeah. Talk about consequences of thinking with the wrong head. It has cost us trillions.

Also with the GOP moving so far to the right and the Dems moving so far to the left since he was in office, he now comes across as a sensible centrist.

it wasn't the blowjob, it was the lying... sheesh.

Yup he was the first man - and politician - to ever cheat on his wife and deny it.

They are still married. Maybe they had an agreement about sex?

Redrob 09-05-2012 08:56 PM

Clinton really rocked the house tonight.

keysync 09-05-2012 08:58 PM

Clinton is a likeable guy.
Plus the county was doing great.
Only the bible thumpers thought he was the devil.
I'm not liberal at all and I think he's great!

Any person who can balance the budget, amp up the economy, maintain peace through strength, improve our diplomatic ties to other nations and uphold the rule of law should be given a harem of fat interns as large as he likes. I don't care if he gets blown from dusk til dawn by a never-ending cavalcade of fat whores who do their civic duty consensually. If that's what it takes to get a bill Clinton or a JFK instead of a George bush, mitt romney or Barack Obama... Let the blowjobs begin.

mikesouth 09-05-2012 10:38 PM

regardless of how i viewed him as a president the guy is a world class orator...a real rock star.

I dunno...you could be right I guess given the election was SO close. It would be interesting to have a time machine, go back, either make it so their little episode didn't happen or just keep it hidden somehow until after Clinton left office and see what would happen with a President Gore. I actually wonder if we'd have ever had a war with him as president and whether that would be a good thing or not. We don't really know if a lack of major response to 9/11 would have prompted more attacks to happen or what - all we know is that nothing remotely close has happened here since.

Also, I'm not so sure the economy in the long-run would have been in that much of a different place. The housing bubble started under Clinton and would have burst inevitably.

He absolutely crushed that speech. Say what you like about him, dude can sell salt to slugs.

Rochard 09-06-2012 01:33 AM

In many cases, time and what a former US president does long after his term has a huge impact on his ratings. President Truman left office as one of the least popular presidents of all time, but is now considered in the top ten.

People are quick to judge everything, but rarely see the truth until decades after.

Right On,

In full support of a sexual revolution in the White House.

There has never been a president of other than questionable political qualities after Bill, in fact it's getting ridiculous.

Especially the downfall on the republican side since mid 90's or so brings out the horrible and scary. Hillary would have been my no.1 choice of the post Bush Jr. era.

Why would anybody vote for Barack Obama after hearing Bill Clinton speak? Bill Clinton so completely outshines Obama that he highlights everything that is wrong with the DNC's candidate.

Seriously, Bill Clinton embodies all the qualities a president should have - he is manly, confident, knowledgeable, charming, and persuasive. What this adds up to is that is a fucking great speaker who can talk seriously for hours about serious topics.

By comparison, Obama seems like a little kid. Weak and effete, he uses an irritating and pretentious speaking manner to mask the fact that he doesn't have anything substantial to say, and without his teleprompter he is completely fucking lost for words. He would get absolutely demolished if he ever had to debate Bill.

If Bill's endorsement makes you want to go and vote for Barry, it is because you are projecting Bill's qualities onto a very, very, very small man who can never be anything that Bill is. And that means that you are wrong.

If you didn't know the small guy sitting in the corner was the POTUS, who would you think was in charge?

That bothered me about Obama at first- he doesn't strike you as THE MAN.

I kind of felt like he was more of a "class president".

However, since my initial impressions, and I haven't paid any attention to his presidency at all since 2008, what little I've gathered is that he has such a presence that it's safe to assume he's POTUS.

I mean, most presidents have been elderly, and really don't project any confidence whatsover.

Bush was okay, but Clinton was in a class by himself.

My problem with Obama is his wife isn't very attractive, but what first lady has been?

There's Jackie O. and Laura Bush was decent, but no Jackie O.

It's a sorry state of affairs.

GrantMercury 09-06-2012 02:56 PM

Bill Clinton, our last Democratic president, spoke at the DNC.

Why didn't our last Republican president speak at the RNC?

It's because we had peace and prosperity under the last Democratic president. Our biggest worry back in the 90's was that our president had a girlfriend on the side.

The Bush came in and we had 8 years of bloody fucking hell as a nation.

Obama is still cleaning up the elephant shit from the last admin...and some morons want another elephant.

Obama 2012.

Obama 2012.

It was a wise move to not have Bush speak.

I'm upset that Clinton spoke, because I like him a little less now.

There was no Bush, no Cheney and aside from Rice they had next to nothing that had anything whatsoever to remind us of Bush.
