FileShoppe Take Down Requests

Hello everyone at GFY,

I am a representative of FileShoppe.net. We provide a service that allows content providers to sell digital goods (downloadable files) quickly and easily.

I have found this website through one of your members, AdultKing. I believe he is convinced we are one of those 'file lockers' that are primarily used for illegal downloads.

I would therefore like to offer the good people at GFY yet another method of contacting us to request take downs should any of your material be uploaded and sold on our servers without your consent. Please feel free to E-Mail me as normal, or send me a PM on this forum. Hopefully this account will remain an active one :-).

That being said, I am confident that there is virtually NO content of yours on our servers as we do not promote the use of our services for file sharing, much less ILLEGAL file sharing.

On the other hand, we have a dynamic and secure content delivery system, and if you have digital content for sale, please know that adult material is welcome, and you are free to try us out to sell your digital goods! :-)

"FileShoppe reserves the right to decide whether Content or if a User's uploads are appropriate and comply with these Terms of Use in regards to violations other than copyright infringement or privacy law, such as, but not limited to, hate crimes, pornography, obscene or defamatory material, or excessive length. FileShoppe may remove such User uploads in violation of these Terms of Use at any time, without prior notice and at its sole discretion."

That is in the TOS of fileshoppe, but you don't mind adult?

FShoppe, if you're not a file host, why do you host infringing content which is able to be purchased by micropayment ?

Why do you actively recruit on WJunction ?

What policies and procedures do you have in place to mitigate piracy ?

Are you prepared to allow rights holders to access your backend and remove files ?

FShoppe 09-06-2012 02:17 AM

Adult content is allowed but we reserve the right to decide what is considered acceptable material. The main reason we include this in our TOS is due to the fact that our operations are not in juts 1 country. Laws related to pornography differ in HK to that of the US for example, and we need a flexible policy that allows to us adapt to certain situations.

As part of our service, files sold using our platform are replicated throughout our CDN. We may be required to remove content from 1 country to comply with local laws.

I hope this helps clarify our position regarding adult content.

For everybody that is interested in fileshoppe.net I would recommend to read about them in AK's thread about killing file lockers

Hello AdultKing,

As I have already sent to you in an E-Mail, yes we are prepared to provide back end access to remove content.

As for your allegations of hosted piracy, please provide examples! And if you feel you cannot offer them over this forum (since that would be what the other sites do right?) just PM me or E-Mail us with a simple take down request.

Hows this for starters.

Anal Virgins 3 (2012) DVD Rip

I could post thousands, we could send you thousands of takedowns, however we won't. It's far more efficient to just put you out of business, which we intend doing.

AdultKing, those, along with a number of other files have now been removed. Please feel free to find MORE links. We will even PAY you to find an active link if you are so confident in finding thousands.

Go ahead. I challenge you to find some ACTIVE links on FileShoppe that host copyright content.

Thousands is very optimistic. Maybe you can find 2... 3? Really go ahead.

Funny if I follow these links I am still offered the opportunity to join FileShoppe and download. There is no message saying the file does not exist.

Also having monetization on a deleted file is still monetizing piracy as you will make money on the back of the piracy having occurred and the traffic being driven to that link.

This is unacceptable.

That's funny because because where do we ever offer anyone the opportunity to join FileShoppe? Join what? A membership program? We don't do those. Buy download credit? We don't do that either. And, can you SEE a download button? I guess not, but that's really not what you're looking for is it.

Where do we monetize the deleted file? How? Please explain.

Yes I agree you actions are despicable arn't they. So is you involvement in distributing child pornography. Oh wait, do I need to prove that? Nah.. you don't so we'll just leave it at that and I'll say you do.
