the contest for the most posts wasnt a good idea at all.

Vegasdude ended up in my ignore list that day. I don't have anything personal with him, but what he did was really annoying, not for trying to win a prize, but for turning the board from 50% crap to 100% crap.

Maybe by sheer volume many of his posts had some content to them.

I know I made 650 or so... and of those, I *tried* to make most have meaning of some sort... a lot didn't.

I am not even sure how I ranked in the end...

But it might be cool to have a top 10 posted and have GFY members vote on who made the biggest contribution, or attempted to post things of merit.

Even VegasDude will admit that he didn't have anything to say 99% of the time...

But if the shotgun approach could win such a thing, well, then someone would have just written a script and blasted the boards...

I am not trying to see him stripped of this, or say he doesn't deserve to win. I just would like an official stance on the rules...

Those are what kept me, and many others, from living on the boards for 24 hours at a time.

actually, since many of the top 10 probably bumped his threads and helped him continue his rambles, I think VegasDude should split his prizes amongst the top 10.
