GoDaddy wants $14.99 on renewal now?

Lol, I'm moving all my domains out on each renewal... wtf

Inter-Sex 09-09-2012 09:43 AM

Sure not any upsell is enabled ?

nicedreams 09-09-2012 09:45 AM

Maybe if you don't use promo codes.

Jimmy

ErectMedia 09-09-2012 09:49 AM

what extension?

Can get .coms for $5.99

and always good renewal coupons depending on extension.

mineistaken 09-09-2012 10:22 AM

you are doing it wrong (not to mention - you HAVE to use coupons, as they are non stop availabvle). Of course you are still doing it wrong (unless its some special extension, but since you do not mention we assume its the "regular" one like .com)

This thread does not contain enough information to properly form an opinion.

Join the godaddy domain club.

epitome 09-09-2012 10:59 AM

Another Bain success story.

signupdamnit 09-09-2012 11:20 AM

They have coupons for renewals but that can stop at any time.

freecartoonporn 09-09-2012 11:37 AM

-1 .COM Domain Name Renewal - 1 Year (recurring) -$15.17

BSleazy 09-09-2012 11:40 AM

Don't auto-renew, and do use coupons.

TidalWave 09-09-2012 11:56 AM

stupid to have to dig around for coupons just to keep using godaddy, when theres nothing special about them...

i renewed for $8.49 and reg'ed a new domain at $5.99 just now using coupons... so im still there I guess for the time being.

janosik 09-09-2012 12:03 PM

Use gd50bbpd5 if you renewing domains WITH privacy. It makes 7.99 .COM renewal and $3.99 private registration.

BFT3K 09-09-2012 12:11 PM

One more for namecheap, a nice provider.

robwod 09-09-2012 03:28 PM

Serious question, do any other registrars offer 24/7 in-house telephone support while still providing reasonably priced domains and renewal fees? I don't care about WHOIS privacy, I run a business and I don't need to hide from anyone. So WHOIS is not important to me.

Klen 09-09-2012 03:33 PM

Name.com -free privacy there.

Miguel T 09-09-2012 05:58 PM

Fuck GoDaddy and their prices.
Moving all to Dynadot.

Why do you need support for domains?

anexsia 09-09-2012 06:26 PM

I use Godaddy for their coupon deals and then I transfer them to Namecheap

There's been times over the years it was needed, most recently for a domain acquisition that had complications at the seller's registrar. I'd rather spend 5 minutes on the phone than 24+ hours playing ticket and/or email tag with multiple "live agents". Thanks, but no thanks.

Frankly, when it comes to hosting and domains, we simply do not business with anyone that offers no in-house phone support.

Fuck GoDaddy :321GFY

Godaddy has always answered when I called.

fitzmulti 09-10-2012 08:30 AM

I've NEVER had that happen, and it's usually about $9 or so on renewals with the codes in the email renewal reminders I get.
