we don't forget we don't forgive ... ring a bell

Tom_PM 09-10-2012 11:46 AM

Stuff like that affects millions. Even mail servers just handling all the "rejected recipient" adds work for everyone else when you're that big.

They are cunts, they have always been cunts. Aside from all the porn issues, the CEO thinks it's cool to shoot elephants.

hover.com and if you use the code macbreak or macbreakweekly you get the concierge service where they will transfer all the domains for you.

rebeka77 09-10-2012 11:49 AM

cunts indeed!! FAIL

Shoplifter 09-10-2012 11:50 AM

Shoplifter 09-10-2012 11:53 AM

Some big news sites are down for me like cbc.ca

I assume due to the date this is some sort of terror thing.

AdultEUhost 09-10-2012 11:54 AM

Seems Anonymous is involved

http://twitter.com/AnonOpsLegion/sta...18636187443200

Lesson learnt is, trust your hosting provider for hosting related issues like DNS :-)

London Banker 09-10-2012 11:54 AM

fuck Godaddy

signupdamnit 09-10-2012 11:55 AM

If you are hosting with them you're screwed no matter what. But if it's only dns you use them for you should consider using a secondary dns server such as namecheap's free dns service.

Every site you named is working for me, though cbc.ca not completely.

probably dns cache, or you are on IPv6.
It seems their IPv6 network is untouched and remained working

Fat Panda 09-10-2012 12:07 PM

Still working for me.

Edit: I'm not claiming it's not down, BTW, just strange that it works for me. It must be as Leon said.

This is all to do with:

Trans-Pacific Partnership’s (TPP) threat to Internet freedom,
Closed-door TPP meetings take place this week in Leesburg, Virginia, where officials will continue developing a plan to impose new Internet restrictions, including consumer fines and website blocking. It’s not just unfair, it’s undemocratic.

Recent expert analysis shows that the TPP’s Internet trap would let Big Media push your ISP to “filter all Internet communications” and “block access to websites”, including those that host our content and our daily communications.

See analysis from the Electronic Frontier Foundation, Public Knowledge, or infojustice.org.

All our servers are dedicated and not hosted at Godaddy. However, a lot of our domains are registered through Godaddy and there are DNS issues. I am currently in Sydney and I cant get a lot of our admin panels but if I route through a Vegas VPN I can.

Thats about all I know beyond we are having postback issues at times and members buys are partially going through and the rest we are adding manually. To say its a mess is a massive understatement.

Ex-CEO, homie. Bob Parsons hasn't been CEO for quite a while.

CamDoughCat 09-10-2012 04:51 PM

Same basic issue with us and the DNS thing over at GoDaddy although seems to be getting back to normal now.

Chosen 09-10-2012 09:07 PM

Never used GoDaddy...
