CF or SD cards how to tell how fast?
Ok, different companies mark cards differently. Is there a site or some way to tell what cards are Faster than others???
Like how fast is this SanDisk - Ultra 32GB Secure Digital High Capacity (SDHC) UHS-I Class 10 Memory Card |

My SD card says on it.
20MB/s It's a PNY professional 32 gb SDHC |
does the speed of the sd card even matter ?

Can't find the page I've pointed people to in the past. It was on SanDisk site somewhere and it gave a good breakdown.
It is good to know what speed to buy for your camera and your usage. No point in buying an ultra fast card if your camera can't keep up anyway, and vice versa. Class 10 is fairly fast and is at the top end of SD card speed. |

You can tell the speed of an SD card by the Class rating. Class 2 is slow, Class 10 is fast. |

I seen a Great Deal of the day! BUT I think I am still going to get the PRo cards for the 5D Mark III they are 3X faster at 95mb read/write instead of 30 http://www.bestbuy.com/site/SanDisk+...1 8&cp=1&lp=1 |
i only use class 10

If you set it up to write to both cards simultaneously then the camera will default to the slowest card speed. Should add, it's probably only a shooting issue if you machine-gun. |

Mmm possibly. It's handled video perfectly well at a lowly 20MB/sec for me. |
