There is no SEO traffic. Most analysts agree that the google algorithm places age and shortness of characters at about 25% of the value when determining page rank. I'm confident that with any type of content, orgy.net would quickly rise to the top. Orgy.com is also a parked domain, so you have little competition for keyword "orgy".

That's not unusual at all.

I think he got a great deal.
I have sold domains at 10x price paid.
Orgy.com would probably sell for $100k plus if it were to be sold.
So the .net at $10k to $15k is not out of the question.

I've spoke with a couple of "big names" in the industry and they both suggested the same thing. Just about finding the right buyer. They said they wouldn't sell for less than $10,000. Not sure I'll take their advice. =)

I told you a price in the $x,xxx range. The highest offer I've gotten is $200. I'm not sure I'm expecting $10,000, but that's not a bad range for a domain with the valuations that have been placed on it. Not trying to play games.

Just be patient, you just bought it last week.
You also need to try and email potential end users, that way you increase your chances to get a higher price.

If it were me I wouldn't take less then $8k but I would try and get $10k plus.

Appreciate the heads up pornflix. I'm not in a hurry to sell, so I'll wait. I've bought and sold a handful of premium domains, so I have an idea of how this game works. I thought this was a steal for the price I paid so I picked it up, but I just have never dealt with adult industry domains. So I'm a little ignorant in terms of end-users because they all seem to be very private with their information. Researching emails for end users has been difficult.

I've got it listed for $15,000 everywhere else and don't think that's out of the picture. $10,000 is more of a decent expectation. If you're truly interested, I'll sell to you for $5500. If I could just throw my 2c in here. Domains are as valuable as what buyers are willing to pay for them. They are looking for a brand or description of their product. Personal taste is a huge factor, and many buyers are willing to spare no expense for the perfect domain. Google has shifted their focus away from domain name keyword relevance to branded names, truly relevant content and popularity in social media. Just look at the top adult websites - LiveJasmin, Youporn, XNXX, Streamate, Adultfriendfinder, Literotica, Freeones, Adam4Adam - these are all clever names that rely primarily on branding and NOT keywords. Orgy.net is fantastic real estate. Estibot values it at 17,000, which is a bit high but not out of the question. zdeneczek, less than 15% of my domains are selling at over $1000. And that's just like, your opinion, man :) Cheers, DG
