how can I edit htaccess so as to be able to redirect 404's on my child sites ?

sites are mapped to domains....

all 404 traffic for those domains redirects based on the root site htacess

i would like to manage my 404s for each domain individually

Scared the fuck out of me when I saw "child sites."

sites you add to your wordpress network are called child sites

any other connotation is not relevant here

I can't imagine what that gets affixed to :error
