Another Tube Sites Submitter Virus!!!
Did anyone get another ridiculous virus from using Tube Sites Submitter recently? This is the third virus I got while using this program to submit clips and it's getting really fucking annoying!
This time it's an FBI notice stating my computer has been locked due to copyright infringement. I actually wish this were true! The scam is to pay $200 to get the virus removed. Why can't they make a Mac version for real computers? The only reason I even have a PC is to run this single program, otherwise I'd be using it for target practice! Is anyone even reviewing these sites before they're added to the database or is it on auto-pilot? |

http://www.2-spyware.com/remove-fbi-virus.html I only use the PC to submit promo content so that's why I know how it got infected. It's actually a good sign because I'm starting to see tubes doing desperate shit like this a lot more lately. Many are on the ropes. |
They were too lazy to write their own web engine and resorted to using IE. Using TSS is pretty much the same as visiting all those sites with the most vulnerable browser on the planet.

Would be nice to hear someone from TSS respond since they have been promoting their software lately here. Any idea which sites are the source of the viruses? ADG |
I like using their program and when I submit sample clips I get good sales but it's times like this when it loses it's luster. It turned from something productive to a total waste of my time.
The last time this happened using TSS I had to spend $300 to have some non-english speaking fuck from Dell tech support to remove the virus. He had to fix it remotely and it took him close to 6 hours so whatever they are putting on these sites is some nasty shit. There has to be a way for them to scan the sites in their database for stuff like this. |
Well... OK then. Installed it and tried to test it. Brand new computer locks up with a full screen, FBI warning,... webcam comes on showing me looking myself and comes complete with instructions on how to send $200.00 to "unlock" your computer which "must happen within 48hrs".
Fun stuff. :) I'm not a programmer, but I have to think its unnecessary to use IE. There has to be plenty of browser scripts or code online for this sort of application. |

Maybe someone from TSS can jump in to shed some light on this.
