Fluoride reduces the average IQ, so if yours was meant to be say 120, then the Fluoride would have moved you down from that, but you'd still be doing OK. However those who would have been 95 or 90, unfortunately the Fluoride will move them to a pretty dumb level :2 cents:

I've traveled extensively and can say without a doubt, out of all the devolved nations I've been to, the average American seems to be less educated about the world than anyone else. And not only are they not educated about it, they simply don't care. Center of the universe sort of thing.

I am a well traveled American who loves his country very much, and concur with DWB's comment 110%.

I guess I have had different experience. I wouldn't say I am well traveled, but I have been to several countries and for the most part the people I have met that were outside the tourist industry knew next to nothing about the US aside from famous people and famous cities.

I agree that it's a bit dumb to go ask your Average Joe about some parliament members of another country, but having no clue about the currency of UK or stating that Australia is actually North-Korea is just plain ignorance.

I totally understand where you are coming from ... but my own experience comes from two approaches: meeting yearly with an average of 10,000 + (semi) professionals globally, and also crossing paths with the "average joe/jane" back in the States. Sadly way too many, cannot identify their own State on a map, if it wasn't already labeled for them.

I cannot hold impoverished countries with very poor infrastructures to the same expectations when children by the age of 7-12 are running around on the streets selling "chiclets" instead of being in school.
