I just need something basic for surfing the net, checking emails, watching video.

Also should I wait another month or 2 and the deals will be better this Christmas?

I tried a Polaroid digital camera and a Polaroid LCD TV in the past and I was deeply disappointed both times.

You get what you pay for. I looked at a lot of tablets before I decided on a Lenova from OfficeMax. Most of the inexpensive ones feel like they'll break easy and probably will.
