One thing and I'll go professional

hi again
I know I keep posting bugging questions

I have an html program
A folder made under my network section
a FTP program loaded
I have read all the tutorals can can finnd on the google search.
But none of them go past the point of how to install the programs I have.

What I desperately need to know is how to set up the right side of my FTP side.

Hope this makes enough sense to help answer my question.

Looks like the only way I'm going to get on line is to learn this part.

Then I can buy a domain and some hosting.
Get online then

Someone here must be able to give me direction or some place to find out how to do this.

Please, I beg you people

Thanks, but doesn't look like what I'm looking for.

I have sex story blogs ready to go. center column with the text in the middle but no site banners on the 2 side bars.

Free site templates created but no banners or content.

Not sure I completely understand what you're asking but here goes:

I think you have created an html blog - presumably on your pc and are trying to work out how to publish it???

1. Set up your ftp soution: Most hosts offer an ftp service or set up your own - Filezilla is popular:

It is opensource (free) and has easy to follow instructions for installing and set up.

Then choose how you want to publish:

A) I would suggest you play about with your blog offline until you are completely au fait with how it works by setting up a 'server' on your own PC by using xmapp:

This is an excellent system with a simple step-by-step explanation and video of how to install and set up and huge support and tutorials if you get stuck. You can then recreate how your site will be front end and back end exactly as it would online BEFORE going live and discovering you don't know how to work things and spoiling your webmaster experience.

Or

B) You can go live straight away.

You need to choose a web host - hundreds to choose from but check they are ok with adult content.

Buy your domain name - this is easily done as part of the same process of setting up your hosting package.

If you have chosen this method you will probably find the host has their own ftp system.

Any good host will have clear instructions on how to set up your system and upload your site files, etc and if you struggle should offer support.

Alternatively, just do what the other posters have suggested and use a blog host and transfer your HTML to their system or use one of their templates and just upload your actual content.

This system will be slightly more restrictive in what you can do compared to running your own site but perhaps is a good place to start to see how you get on and build up some followers.

Hope this helps a bit and sorry if I've got the totally wrong end of the stick!?

You're going to have to be a little more specific, and tell us what you're trying to do. Are you trying to publish a blog? Set up banners on an already existing blog? Do you already have a domain, and a webhost?

If you don't have a domain, and hosting...You can't use FTP... Unless I'm missing something.
