The government is good! They never lie to their own people! This isn't true! You are a kook! Where is your tinfoil hat! etc.

DWB 10-05-2012 06:33 AM

In 40, 50, or 80 years from now, all the shit people laugh at the "conspiracy guys" for will probably end up being true. The list of horrible things the US government (and most governments) do to their own people is mind numbing.

I don't see a lot of denials when it comes to something like this. Usually, it's more bizarre "conspiracies" like reptilian overlords, or mind-controlled subliminal messages in popular hip-hop that trigger mass killings, etc... that get laughed at. The conspiracy spectrum is vast.

What about the occasional reports of a mysterious white powder covering a town? Could these human lab rat tests still be happening today?

Of course, now the lemmings admit it happened because the government admitted it happened...

you are a lemming of a lower iq'd tribe.

so that makes you sub-lab rat.

Va2k 10-05-2012 05:27 PM

I always thought they would do shit like this, why not who is going to arrest them lol

wehateporn 10-05-2012 05:34 PM

It would never happen, they'd never do that, just ask PR_Glen

I'm confused. Cancer is the most common form of death, and her father and brothers all had cancer. She also had cancer....

Then we have this:
Now, new research is raising greater concern about the implications of those tests. St. Louis Community College-Meramec sociology professor Lisa Martino-Taylor's research has raised the possibility that the Army performed radiation testing by mixing radioactive particles with the zinc cadmium sulfide,

though she concedes there is no direct proof
.

So basically her family has been hit hard by cancer and she's trying to pin it down some something the Army "might have done" with no proof.

Sounds like a non story here.

Freaky_Akula 10-05-2012 07:30 PM

Why am I not surprised to see Rochard jump in and defend the army?

Yes, because clearly the US Army and the US government can do no wrong and I'm utterly fucking clueless and will defend them until the day I die.

Not at all. It's well documented the US Army in the 1950s and 1960s did all kinds of interesting tests. They did tests on both members of the Army as well as "volunteers" from the civilian world. The did all kinds of tests with gases and drugs (LSD, etc), STDs, Radiation... Some of it was pretty nasty, some of them ended with huge lawsuits, and some are still in court today. I surely wouldn't put it past the Army.

However, this woman is just connecting imaginary dots. Her family has a high rate of cancer. So does my wife's family - Four out five members of her family has had cancer. Doesn't mean the US government is at fault.

Use some common sense.

You are correct...a non story at this point in time.

Her family has been hit hard. So has she. She had 4 types of cancer...

I guess having military planes dusting people in powder is not related.

Haha I grew up within a mile of the Edgewood arsenal fence and all three of my schools backed to the fence. I am everyone I went to school with is fine.

Now one time we had a HUGE natural gas leak out front of our school to where a car couldn't even start in a huge radius without blowing us up. Hours and hours of sitting on buses that weren't allowed to start.

Turns out my brother was responsible for that. He worked for Miss Utility and mismarked the line. Whoops.
