Search Ebay for Crossover monitor. The prices change quite a lot because of demand. I paid 330 i believe for this one including shipping.

You can get an even cheaper version like the Shimian. Same thing just slightly cheaper appearance. (lousy stand for example).

I think it goes for $280.

They come from the same factory as Apple and LG.

The 2560x1440 res is awesome!

How many dead pixels?

I have a few but they are near the side of the screen and almost impossible to see because they are so small. You have to put your nose on the monitor while it's completely black to even notice them.
You can find sellers who will, for a little extra, check your monitor for dead pixels and guarantee zero dead pixels.

Unless you look for them you can't see them.

Where is it actually made? China, Korea, Thailand? If it's made here I may be able to get them dirt cheap at the factory. Been wanting an Apple display but I'm not pissing away that kind of money for one.

Tell me you got monitors that can do 2560X1440 and not just cheap 1080P.

You are basically guaranteed dead pixels...

These are the monitors Apple turned down for having dead pixels. Most will have at least 1 in the middle somewhere and then 1 to 5 more somewhere else. I have used a monitor before that had a dead pixel right in the middle. I only noticed it here at GFY! The Mapple picture above my reply would show it to me... Otherwise I never noticed it with a colorful screen or a white screen.
