Thank you, Canada

My daughter just returned from her first visit to Canada and said all the people were very nice. So, thanks.

She should stay a little longer. Let's see if she'll still say that. Must be all that maple syrup in her system. ;-)

EddyTheDog 10-08-2012 08:59 PM

When are you going to trust her to come to London?

Do they have a lot of maple syrup in Victoria, BC?

What does 'trust' mean?

Firm belief in the reliability, truth, ability, or strength of someone or something.

If you are saying Jane and Finch is as bad as it gets in Canada I say we are doing VERY VERY well.

O MARINA 10-09-2012 07:23 AM

Did she bring you back any souvenirs?

Nah, I taught my kids to travel light; carry-on only. Guess I could have asked for a candy bar, but wasn't interested. :)

She was only there long enough to run a marathon and come home.

Rochard 10-09-2012 08:10 AM

I just visited Hawaii and everyone there was really nice. And warmer than Canada.

Sophie Delancey 10-09-2012 08:28 AM

You're very welcome. We do like being polite!

Sarah_Jayne 10-09-2012 08:47 AM

I am long overdue my next trip to Canada. It feels oddly nice to just step into the Commonwealth.

I'm sure there are worse places. I've hung out around there into the very early morning hours and never felt threatened.

Evil Chris 10-09-2012 08:53 AM

You're welcome. Come back any time.

TheLegacy 10-09-2012 11:33 AM

Well old joke of american's that Canadian's are the only people when you step on their foot they'll say sorry. That's actually true for the most part. True Canadian's are polite on a higher percentage - so glad she had a good time and hope she saw the diversity of the landscape and cultures.

PS just please ask her not to tell anyone else how she got here - American troops have been attempting to invade us since 1812 but over time lost the map and we've been pretty silent about our location

CDSmith 10-09-2012 11:36 AM

I got a freezer full of maple syrup. Next time send her to Winnipeg, I'll give her a can to take home to the old man.

(old man being you)

JFK 10-09-2012 11:44 AM

On behalf of Canada, you're welcome:thumbsup
