I shot some photos of the Space Shuttle...
...on the streets of LA yesterday. Mostly shot on Crenshaw Blvd., though the last one was shot right outside the Baldwin Hills Mall at Crenshaw and MLK Blvd.

He told me about these engines... These here are fake. Rebuilt shells made buy him and his small team for the shuttle to be on display. He said that when they were done, they painted all three lite grey and then another guy was hired later on to airbrush them so they looked like they were used in space. He said "the airbrush guy did an amazing job" lol Just a lil insider info for you if you ever go and see the shuttle on display - You can retell the story and look like a boss :thumbsup |

very cool, I love this NASA stuff...too bad we spend so much money fighting each other rather than exploring our world and beyond

It calls my attention how much time it takes NASA to develop/create an alternate form of getting into space.

A close look at this thing is amazing :)

Great shots. My boyfriend took his kids to see it. The areas they picked were very well selected for inspiration.

I didnt get a chance this weekend to go see it but I used to see a lot of the challenger and have even seen it land at Edwards Air Force base back in the day. The last pic taken is pretty amazing. I can't wait til it's at the permanent home and the crowds have died down.

It was a lot smaller than I thought. I remember seeing the Enterprise up close years ago. I was disappointed.
