Bought Galaxy note 2

I wanted to try something else after 5 years of iPhone.. and frankly i am amazed how good Jelly bean is and how cool the phone is.. Apple has some serious competition!
Build quality of the device is pretty good, feels premium for sure..

Good to know that :thumbsup

How big are your hands? That Note is HUGE! I love my original Evo 4G at 4.3 screen inches so I can still hold it and scroll one handed if I want. But almost all of the newer premium Android smartphones have 4.8, 4.9 or 5.x inch screen sizes that require two hands to use them all the time! Just too big in my opinion to handle easily.

Ya, it's massive for a phone...

Godsmack 10-20-2012 12:50 AM

It pretty big for sure! But until now i am loving it!
I can see why apple wants them off the market

I love note, have the first one now and will be getting Note 2 soon. Once you go Note size, you can't go back :)

There is a feature in the Note2 that will move the keyboard over to the side for right or left handed users so they can use one hand.

iOS has nothing on Android 4.1

I've had the new iPhone for a few weeks now and while I love the phone hardware, I REALLY miss being able to customize MY phone to MY liking.

The apps are all the same. Both formats accomplish the same things. I just like being able to do things my way. The minute I can jailbreak, I will.

Totally agree, and that's exactly why i am loving my new phone..

I've had a Note 2 as well for 2 weeks now.

It really boils down to what you do with your phone, if you are texting a lot, using apps via wi-fi and generally doing screen intensive activities then the Note 2 is fantastic.

I don't think it's too big or impractical at all. After using it for a bit it just seems silly to try to use a phone with a tiny screen for anything other than voice calls. It seems smaller and easier to handle then the Note 1 which I did think looked huge.

And the battery life, well it's amazing. By far the best of any phone I have ever owned. Also I've got 64 gigs of FLAC files on mine and it's a fantastic music device, by far the best phone I have used so far.

Yeah, i was kinda worried about the huge screen, but until now its been great..
Apple has some really serious competition here, 4 of my friends that have an iPhone will renew their mobile plan with an Android device.. Sorry Steve..

A phone is a phone at this point. Some are larger, some smaller... But more or less all the same.

vodkadoll 10-22-2012 06:26 AM

I love the Galaxy Note, even thought my friends laugh at me for having a such a big phone, but they dont know shit! :)

tony286 10-22-2012 06:34 AM

if you use a phone just to make calls and texts. I can see it as a waste. But if like myself you are doing email and its more of mini laptop replacement while on the road. It makes sense. Im switching back to att in dec and will probably get one and sell my ipad to apy for it. I mean after a while I got a smart phone, kindle, ipad , laptop ,tower. Got to start consolidating lol

sperbonzo 10-22-2012 09:48 AM

A friend has one , he loves it, the only thing he hates about it is the lack of keyboard. I loved the look and size of it, was going to get one, till he told me that. I'll stick with my bb :thumbsup

It has a serious competition: Jitterbug
